Health & Safety Officer

Responsibilities

  • Safety orientation, safety training, job site inspections and reporting
  • Conducting on-site safety meetings
  • Maintain awareness of amendments to the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations, and make recommendations for their implementation
  • Perform job site safety compliance inspections including hazard analysis, safe work procedures, written reports and recommendations
  • Monitoring and adhering to company safety program by all Richcraft employees and subcontractors
  • Research, plan, organize and conduct training programs and seminars
  • Guide Joint Health and Safety Committees on safety-related matters
  • Ensures timely completion of accident and injury reporting and WSIB reporting requirements
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience

  • Must have construction experience
  • Health and Safety college or university program graduate or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations.
  • JHSC certification
  • Working towards certification, or already certified, under the Occupational Health & Safety Act/Regulations is preferred

Job Summary
Our team at Richcraft Homes is looking for a New Homebuilder Sales Representative. Experience as a New Home Sales Rep is a requirement for this position.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Welcoming potential homebuyers while providing exceptional customer service
  • Help potential homebuyers find the right home by presenting knowledge of Richcraft products
  • Maintain knowledge of Ottawa’s demographics and amenities such as schools, local businesses, parks, recreation facilities etc…
  • Walk potential homebuyers through the process of purchasing a new built home with Richcraft
  • Stay up-to-date on all specifications, mortgage information, community information, construction and product knowledge
  • Ensure that models and existing homes are well maintained and notify head office for any improvements or touch-ups that may need to be done
  • Writing Agreements of Purchase and Sale with the purchaser, verifying design, lot, upgrades and closing dates
  • Preparing all required paperwork and reviewing that paperwork with the homebuyer from Point of Sale to After Closing
  • Provide timely and accurate responses and updates to all purchasers regarding the status of construction of the unit, anticipated delivery dates, closing dates and warranty deadlines
  • Responsible for visiting other builders in the same area and preparing Competition Analysis’ on a monthly basis
  • Liaison with other departments including Site, Architecture and the Design Centre when needed to ensure accurate information is communicated to homebuyers and potential homebuyers
  • Responsible for attending weekly sales meetings at head office
  • Responsible for self-development while taking a high level of interest in knowing and understanding Richcraft’s products and policies

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience as a New Builder Sales Representative
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
  • Highly organized with an attention to detail
  • An active listener with responsive skills
  • Valid Driver’s License is required

Job Summary
Our team at Richcraft Homes is seeking an experienced Labourer to work in the Kanata area. This new team member will ensure that both the jobs site and units are kept clean and safe.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Cleans units under construction both inside and out
  • Maintains cleanliness by removing all excess garbage
  • Performs tasks including drywall patching, paint touch-ups and caulking
  • Performs intense physical labour on a daily basis

  • Must have the ability to coordinate, schedule and supervise all trades from excavation to completion
  • Organize site meetings with consultants and trades
  • Review drawings and estimate materials

High Rise Construction Project Manager

Our team at Richcraft is currently seeking a talented and dedicated Construction Project Manager. The successful candidate must be experienced in the construction of residential condominiums (concrete construction) and commercial projects.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Managing the construction of residential high-rise condominium projects
  • Leading the planning and execution of the project from tendering to closeout including quantity take-offs, budgets, tendering of projects to trades, negotiation of subcontracts and scheduling and obtaining approval from Richcraft senior officials
  • Possess extensive knowledge of all aspects of project management including development of project budgets and schedules, contract documentation and administration including general contractor progress draws and consultant invoices, monitoring project costs and implementation of policy and procedures for quality control
  • Planning, organizing, directing and controlling the daily operations during the construction phase of the projects
  • Possess positive leadership with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and strong problem-solving skills while managing a team of supervisors, design consultants, field engineers and contractors
  • Be multi-task oriented
  • Have a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and on budget
  • Must be focused, results-driven, adaptable and resilient to changing environments with an ability to manage the unexpected
  • Must be fluent in Microsoft Office and good technical knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar in nature
  • Health and safety training by industry recognized association such as CSAQ, WSIB including the OHSA, FALL protection, Propane Training First Aid
  • Bilingual in English and French would be considered an asset

This job requires an individual with a minimum of 5 – 7 years of Canadian comprehensive project management experience in horizontal and vertical development projects. The company is looking for an accountable professional who can take the lead for the implementation and realization of the overall projects.
