Human Resources Coordinator

The Human Resources Coordinator will provide support to Richcraft in the areas of recruitment, health and safety, training and development, corporate policies and procedures, and any other areas as required.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment:
• Participate in the full cycle recruitment process including job postings, resumes screening, and interview coordination
• Prepare new hire employment agreements
• Support all onboarding activities for new hires
Health & Safety:
• In conjunction with the Health and Safety Officer, maintain and develop the workplace health & safety program
• Maintain the occupational health and safety software system – eCompliance
• Facilitate the completion of workplace inspections, maintain records of inspections, incidents findings and suggesting improvements
• Complete health and safety reports
• Active participation in the Joint Health and Safety Committee
Training & Development:
• Assist with the organization, delivery and implementation of all internal and external training & development programs
• Maintain a record of training completion and upcoming requirements
• Schedule and/or conduct training with employees
Administration:
• Assist and support in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures, in accordance with all relevant legislation
• Maintain employee records
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• One to three years’ experience in Human Resources or administration/coordination
• A self-starter attitude with the ability to take direction and work independently when required
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate quickly and concisely in a verbal and written format
• Computer proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint; advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyze and compare data
• Post-secondary education from an accredited institution in Human Resources or Occupational Health and Safety is an asset
• Safety certification training is considered an asset
• Construction experience is considered an asset

Finishing Foreman

Richcraft Homes is looking for a Finishing Foreman to join our team who is as excited as we are to help enrich our local communities. The Finishing Foreman will be responsible for taking projects from drywall to handover and will be responsible for dealing with all trades and handymen, liaise with external construction personnel to ensure project construction is executed in a timely and efficient manner.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage projects from drywall to handover
  • Assist in developing and maintaining construction production schedules
  • Provide schedule updates to the Construction Manager on a regular basis.
  • Schedule meetings with and manage subcontractors.
  • Establish and maintain quality control measures on site.
  • Ensure inspections are completed periodically throughout the construction phases to ensure buildings meet specifications of clients.
  • Oversee performance of all trade contractors to ensure architectural and engineering drawings are being delivered with accuracy and to regulatory standards.
  • Ensure accurate and timely project close date; adjust working schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Liaise with the Customer Care team before key handovers to determine deficiency needs or possible contractor oversights.
  • Verify all onsite safety training for all new hires, including employees, trades and contractors.
  • Enforce all Richcraft policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as required.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 – 5 years of work experience in residential construction with demonstrated increased responsibility/supervisory work.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings and plans.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to cope with high intensity and stressful environments.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Updated safety certificates are required
  • A valid driver’s license is required as this requires travel to and from sites to the office.

  • Good interpersonal skills required, including being a team player
  • Experience with computer programs including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel etc.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Tarion Warranty program would be considered an asset
  • Bilingualism will be considered an asset
  • A valid driver’s license and car is required

Prep Help/Handyman

A prep person/handyman is needed for one of our sites and will be responsible for doing minor job related tasks in the home and interacting with homeowners on warranty items.

Qualifications

  • Must have your own tools
  • Previous residential construction knowledge
  • Complete tasks such as minor drywall repairs, paint touch ups, caulking and general cleaning
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • A valid “G” driver’s license is required and you must provide your own vehicle
